September 20, 2016. Oil on canvas. 25 x 35 cm Russia. Moscow. 布洛斯鎮

Today was a bad day because my flu turned serious. I was coughing and blowing nose all day long. And felt so tired.

The whole morning up to 3:30pm was museum visit. We saw the painting from 列維坦and listened to his sad story. The great artist was died in his 30’s and left a legacy. He was poor, abandoned and his health was not good probably due to poverty. His sad story had affected his work and one could see loneliness and deep sorrow in his work.

Our trip to his homeland was a salute to this great artist.

After 4pm there was plein air time again. Weather was excellent. Warmer. But since I had a bad flu, I had hesitated whether I should paint outdoor or not. At the end I decided to do this. We could let go the beautiful scenery.

This painting was done at the roadside. While the big group had gone uphill for speculatar view.

I looked at the pretty Russian huts in the sunset. But the piece of green floating plant had catches my sight. The green was lying so peaceful on the shade of dark green and violet. I decided to take it as the hero of this painting.
The outcome was great. This was a successful small painting. I got compliments from teachers and fellow painters.
