I went to with Kunming for 4 days with family. Since it was only 4 days, I had no plan to paint at all. Nevertheless I tried to squeeze my painting stuff into my luggage.

Weather in Kunming was excellent. A bit dry though. The city was cleaner than Guayang, less traffic jam, modern, comfortable. 

I went to hill village region for 3 days during my stay. The hill was famous and called The Red Earth. It was because the soil had a deep red colour especially after the rain. Senior Villagers still wore their tribe costume. Youngster mostly went to school in city and returned during weekend. 

The land had a rare beauty of terrace agricultural landscape. Yet not much to do except photo taking. 

I painted 4 pieces which was out of my expectation.

The sunlight had a high degree of 紫外線, therefore we could not expose too long under the sun. Therefore a lot of spare time for me to find a shelter and paint a quite different sky, land. 
I took a lot of people photos and would love to paint them in the second half of the year. Should be fun. Remarkable landscape and remarkable villagers.
